Annette Clearwaters, CFP®

Annette co-founded Clarity Investments + Planning in 2008 after working at a more traditional financial planning firm with higher minimums. She expressed a desire to expand the firm’s planning services to a broader range of clientele, and was thrilled to collaborate with her firm’s owner to accomplish that goal. In 2014, Annette became sole owner of Clarity.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Annette has also completed Level II of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. She is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. Her areas of professional interest include portfolio management and behavioral finance, the study of how individuals make financial decisions.
After earning a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Business from Pennsylvania State University, Annette spent several years in architectural design. Her search for a career that combined finance and a concrete way of impacting clients’ lives led her to financial planning.
After many years on the Upper West Side, Annette now lives in northern Westchester County with her husband and children. She enjoys fitness, reading and walks with their basset hound Gary.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
